God is helping us to reshape our student ministry by creating an environment using small groups where students feel a greater sense of belonging, which allows for deeper spiritual conversations, lasting relationships and a focus on accountability in growing in Christ together.
One of our ninth-grade girls, Caitlyn Modisette, participating in our student ministry here at Marvin Church, had her life changed by Christ last summer at Christ in Youth Move Camp. She surrendered her problems and life to Jesus. It hasn’t been easy as she faces her hurts and hang-ups straight up, but with support from her mom, ministry leaders and her high school girls covenant group, she presses forward, staying plugged in, serving in the church and taking time to read her Bible as she journals it all down. This has drawn her closer to Christ and led her recently to be baptized in the faith. It is so awesome to see the light of Christ shining through her life now!
