What to Expect
You can serve as little as once a school year or as often as every week at Bonner Elementary, our partner school. Volunteers must be certified through Tyler Independent School District. Just click here to visit the TISD website and follow the instructions. Choose Marvin Church as your organization and Bonner Elementary as your school of choice.
Positions
- Classroom helper | Be a helping hand to a teacher once or twice each month. Update bulletin boards, laminate or do any task that will benefit from an extra pair of hands.
- Special events | There are many events through the year that need lots of helpers: field days, book fairs, Fall Festival, career day, graduation and more.
- Tutor Bonner kids | Spend one hour a week mentoring a child or a small group of children. Invest in kids based on their needs in the classroom and get to know them personally.
