Leave the hustle and bustle behind. Slow down and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas! Celebrate the new-born Savior at Christmas Eve services including carols, candles and holy communion.
This year’s offering benefits four great organizations: Methodist Children’s Home, Rahab’s Retreat, Hiway 80 Rescue Mission and Support for Israel. Please make checks payable to Marvin Church and note Christmas Offering for Missions on the memo line.
In December we are collecting new blankets for people in need. Drop your blankets on one of the blanket trees around the church.

Free lunchtime concerts start at 12:05 p.m. each Wednesday in the sanctuary. Soup and sandwich lunch is available ($5) in Pirtle Hall following each concert.
Each year we throw a big party for area foster kids through the Methodist Children's Home with games, crafts, music and gifts!

Marvin Concert Series presents Robinson Handbells. Get into the holiday mood at this evening of song from Marvin's handbell choir.
Join our kids for A Night at the Nativity. This year we welcome residents of Breckenridge Village for an evening of carols, crafts, dinner and the story of Jesus’ birth with our Marvin Kids and families.
Select families in need are invited to pick out gifts for their children.
The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah and Jesus’ birth are told in nine short Bible readings interspersed with carols, hymns and music.
Assemble gifts of love for people spending Christmas at Salvation Army.

Christmas is supposed to be special and something we all look forward to, but it can be a difficult time of year for many. God has given us Christmas as a time for healing and peace. Join us for a service of wholeness and healing. This year could be the year that you look forward to a time of peace once again.
Christmas is a great time to serve others. Here are some ways you can get involved.
Santa can visit your family, business or group! Proceeds benefit the Bethesda Pediatric Clinics.
Wednesday, Dec. 6 | Marvin will sponsor Christmas card parties for Gateway to Hope (10-11:30 a.m.) and Triumph Village (3-4:30 p.m.) offering attendees the chance to send Christmas cards to family and loved ones.
10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, in Pirtle Hall | Each year we throw a big party for area foster kids through the Methodist Children's Home with games, crafts, music and gifts! Help with the party or provide gifts for a child's wish list.
Dec. 13 to 15, Marvin’s Fair Gymnasium | This event provides gifts to select families in need. We invite parents to pick out a new gifts and stockings for their children. We need lots and lots of new unwrapped toys and gifts (valued between $10-$20) and many helpers to spread Christmas joy! Two-hour volunteer shifts include being a general helper, shopper, stocker, greeter or gift wrapper. We will also have needs for set up and take down.
Saturday, Dec. 16, at Maude Cobb | Marvin will have a “ready to man” booth at the Hiway 80 Family Christmas Event. This is a joint event for the Longview and Tyler outreach programs.
6 p.m. Dec. 18, Pirtle Hall | Assemble gifts of love for people spending Christmas at Salvation Army.
