What is Mission Week?
Since 1988, one of the foundations of Marvin's Christian outreach and service has been Mission Week! Participants of all ages experience a wide variety of hands-on projects during the week. There’s a place for everyone to serve! You can deliver water or do major construction or do minor construction or paint or do yard work or do electrical work or install flooring or take digital photos or tie blankets or run errands or serve meals or sew school bags or pray or give money! We need you!
Details
The kick-off breakfast is at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 17, in Pirtle Hall at Mavin.
The closing celebration is at 6 p.m. Friday, June 23, in Pirtle Hall at Marvin.
Nursery care is available for all events and work days. All care is at Marvin with he exception of Monday through Wednesday evenings at Fairwood.

- FAIRWOOD UMC INDOOR PAINTING PROJECT (daily; plus M-W evenings)
- CHURCH UNDER THE BRIDGE (SATURDAY ONLY) Gentry Pkwy serve meals/fellowship

- UMCOR KITS (TUESDAY ONLY) AT FAIRWOOD UMC– Assemble Female Comfort Kits
- BAKE & TAKE (TUESDAY ONLY) AT MARVIN— Bake cookies & deliver to police and fire
- CARE PACKAGES FOR MILITARY (TUESDAY AFTERNOON ONLY) AT MARVIN
- HAND UP NETWORK (WEDNESDAY ONLY) 200 N. Beckham Organizing and sorting
- MEALS ON WHEELS AND FOOD BANK (THURSDAY ONLY) Deliver meals/ food bank
- POP UP PROJECTS (As needed throughout the week)
- PHOTOGRAPHY TEAM
- ERRAND RUNNER/ HYDRATION TEAM
- DONATE INDIVIDUAL BOTTLES OF GATORADE / SPORTS DRINKS
- POLLARD LOAVES AND FISHES: food donations or serving meals
- MARVIN LOAVES AND FISHES: Melons, cut and chilled, Thursday AM Only
