Adults

Men. Women. Mature adults. Single adults. There's a place for you! Marvin is geared toward equipping our members to share the Gospel. From Bible studies to small groups to Sunday School classes, you'll find information here to help you grow in your faith and become a stronger disciple.

Discipleship

A disciple is a follower of Jesus Christ who is growing in love for God and others. Jesus calls us to be disciples and to make disciples. And in so being and in so doing we are a part of something bigger than ourselves. We are the body of Christ, and each one of us is a part of it.

Marvin is geared toward helping our members share the Gospel. From Bible studies to small groups to Sunday School classes, you'll find information here to help you grow in your faith and become a stronger disciple.

  3. The Bible (starts over each year)

Use the links provided provided below to join in right where we are.

  1. Read through the Psalms in a month using the Psalms plan on the YouVersion app.
A new plan begins the first day of each month.

    Read the Psalms
  2. Read through the Gospels in 90 days using The Bible Project | Gospels plan. This online plan gives short, informative videos to help frame your reading and lets you see other Marvin participants' comments.
A new plan begins Jan. 1.

    Read the Gospels
  3. Read through the Bible cover to cover using The Bible Project | Bible Reading plan. This online plan gives short, informative videos to help frame your reading and lets you see other Marvin participants' comments.
Begins Jan. 1 (three to five chapters a day), ends Dec. 31

    Read the Bible

There are also hard copies of these reading plans available at the Welcome Center.

Our goal is for Marvin Church to read the Bible in community for the simple purpose of being shaped by God’s Word and conformed more into the image and likeness of His Son, Jesus Christ, who is the Word made flesh.

Momco

When moms are resourced, when moms are elevated, when moms are educated,
when moms are empowered to do what they are meant to do in the world, everyone is better because of it.

MomCo is a group for mothers of children from birth to kindergarten. MomCo encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus and in partnership with the local church.

Marvin MomCo meets from 10 a.m. to noon  twice a month on Thursday mornings at Marvin. It's a place for moms to share their hopes, fears and insight alongside other moms and mentor moms, all while enjoying childcare, breakfast and speakers from the Tyler community. We build circles of women who love each other like family, because we believe in the transformative potential of relationships and mentoring (Hebrews 10:25).

In addition to monthly meetings, MomCo hosts a bake sale at the church each fall featuring their famous pumpkin rolls and participates in a mission project each year. MomCo also coordinates at least one optional social activity per semester.

Annual dues are $85 and may be paid at the first meeting. All prices include both local and international dues. There is no additional charge for childcare. Confidential scholarships are available to assist with financial costs.

We’ll tour the Stockyards Museum, which showcases the rich history of the Stockyards and the north side of Fort Worth. We’ll visit the John Wayne Museum American Experience exhibit, an intimate tour of the life of John Wayne including exclusive access to never-before-seen family photos and correspondence. In addition, you will find Roy Rogers' horse Trigger and other memorabilia.

The trip includes a night at the Sheraton, tours, events and lunch and dinner on Thursday. There will be free time to wander through the district to sightsee and shop.
