When moms are resourced, when moms are elevated, when moms are educated, when moms are empowered to do what they are meant to do in the world, everyone is better because of it.
Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is a group for mothers of children from birth to kindergarten. MOPS encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus and in partnership with the local church.
Marvin MOPS meets from 10 a.m. to noon twice a month on Thursday mornings at Marvin. It's a place for moms to share their hopes, fears and insight alongside other moms and mentor moms, all while enjoying childcare, breakfast and speakers from the Tyler community. We build circles of women who love each other like family, because we believe in the transformative potential of relationships and mentoring (Hebrews 10:25).
In addition to monthly meetings, Marvin MOPS hosts a bake sale at the church each fall featuring their famous pumpkin rolls and participates in a mission project each year. MOPS also coordinates at least one optional social activity per semester.
Annual dues are $85 and may be paid at the first meeting. All prices include both local and international dues. There is no additional charge for Moppets (childcare). Confidential scholarships are available to assist with financial costs.
